Granted in June 2009, our 2 hydrocarbon exploration licences cover a total area of approximately 630,000 acres and are held through our subsidiary company, Parkyn Energy Germany Limited. The licence areas are located in Southern Germany, around and to the northeast of Lake Konstanz. See location map on the right with the area outlined in green.
The focus of our activity is the unconventional gas potential of the permo-carboniferoius shales in the Bodensee trough. Our 2 licences each contain work program obligations to acquire a certain amount of 2D or 3D seismic and drill one exploration well during the first 3 years.
