Senior Management
In addition to the Board of the Company, the following senior managers are considered relevant to establishing that the Group has the appropriate expertise and experience for the management of its business:
Kamlesh Parmar, Commercial Director and Company Secretary, and Poland Country Manager
Kamlesh Parmar joined the Group in early 2007. From March 2006 to December 2006 he was director of Corporate Affairs at Cadogan Petroleum plc. From 1995 to 2006 he was a solicitor at Hammonds, becoming a partner in 2001. At Hammonds he specialised in the field of corporate finance, advising on a broad range of transactions including AIM and Official List initial public offerings, M&A transactions, corporate governance and associated regulatory matters. He graduated from Brunel University and the College of Law.
Alexander Fraser, Chief Financial Officer
Alexander Fraser joined the Group when it was established in January 2007, having started working with Robert Jeffcock on different oil and gas exploration projects in late 2006. From 2003 to 2006 he was a consultant to a number of early stage companies. From 1994 to 2003 he was an investment banker in emerging markets corporate finance and M&A at Brunswick-UBS in Moscow, Deutsche Bank and then JP Morgan in London, advising government and corporate clients in a range of sectors including oil and gas. From 1988 to 1994 he was a lawyer at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP advising on general corporate law, banking and corporate finance from their London, Paris and Moscow offices. He graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford and is a qualified barrister.
Frances Morris-Jones, Business Development Director
Frances Morris-Jones joined the Group in November 2011, having worked with 3Legs Resources in the exploration of the Baltic Basin licenses in Poland from 2009, representing their joint venture partner ConocoPhillips in the negotiation of the joint venture, on the Operating Committee and in OPPPW, the Polish Oil and Gas industry organisation. Frances joined ConocoPhillips as Global Business Development Manager for Unconventional Resources in November 2008. In this role she was responsible for developing and applying an approach for prioritising, selecting and accessing unconventional opportunities beyond North America, and delivered deals in Asia-Pacific and Europe. Frances has over 25 years' experience in the industry, formerly with BP, where, as Vice-President, Renewal (2005-2008) she led a multi-disciplinary team to screen, rank and access unconventional gas opportunities. Prior to that, as Commercial Director, she spent 7 years (1999-2005) in business development in Russia and the Caspian, where she led a cross-discipline evaluation of entry options to Russia, resulting in the TNKBP merger, was a Director on the Board of LukArco, and represented BP as Operating Committee member in the 9-company Kashagan partnership before negotiating the sale of that interest. Frances is also a Non-Executive Director on the Board of DNV (Det Norske Veritas) since 2009. She has an (MA. Hons) First Class degree from Oxford University.
